I work with individuals, couples, families, and treatment centers to promote healing, re-connection, life-fulfillment and success.
See below for more information about the two main services I provide --psychotherapy and treatment center consultation.
As a therapist, I specialize in attachment and relationship issues. I am an eating disorder and addiction expert, and I use a variety of modalities including narrative, strength- focused techniques and DBT skills training. I also teach meditation and mindfulness skills for present-moment anxiety reduction and mood stabilization. I work within a transpersonal paradigm and believe that our struggles often stem from disconnection. Healing involves reconnection to ourselves, to others, to nature and to the world.
I have years of experience working in both Clinical Systems Development and Business Development for both eating disorder and addiction treatment centers. I am passionate about helping centers reach their full potential clinically, systemically, and financially while maintaining the highest ethical standards in order to help the most people heal. I have helped new treatment centers open their doors, and I have developed new tracks within existing frameworks. I currently hold a position as Clinical Systems Director at Sober College, a premier treatment center for young adults in Los Angeles, CA.
I am honored to announce that I have been elected as a Clinical Director at Large on the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) Board of Directors. CAMFT supports over 32,000 clinicians in California. For more information, please see www.camft.org .
As a proud alumnus of Sofia University in Palo Alto, I am excited to share the news that Deepak Chopra, MD, has been appointed Professor of Consciousness Studies at Sofia. I was fortunate to meet Dr. Chopra during my 2016 graduation ceremony. http://www.sofia.edu/stellar-faculty/
In 2014, I had the honor of attending the second annual East West Medical Conference hosted by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. It was a blessing to meet such a great spiritual leader. In the words of His Holiness, "Our primary purpose in this life is to help others. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."
